Regional Streamlined Transit System

It is planned to create a Unified Transit Portal between the countries located on the corridor in order to simplify transit due to the application of digital solutions in cargo transportation along the Middle Corridor. This portal will create conditions for carrying out cargo transportation along the corridor in accordance with international standards, facilitating transit procedures and organizing electronic information exchange.

It is planned to hold discussions on the simplified transit customs procedure project using the “one window” principle along the Trans-Caspian International “East-West” Middle Corridor.

“During the placement of containerized goods brought to the customs territory by sea transport and transit transportation continued by railway transport under the international transit special customs procedure, the customs declaration was carried out based on the number of the railway platform where the container will be loaded. Since the identification of the railway platform number causes a waste of time, the customs declaration “Methodical Recommendation on filling out customs declarations when goods are placed under special customs procedures for international and domestic transit” has been amended in order to implement it based on the container number and to make it possible for containers to be declared before they are brought to the customs territory, – says the answer of the Customs Committee.
